The retreat will begin with dinner on Sunday, March 8th. The retreat will end with a morning practice and closing circle followed by breakfast on Saturday, March 14th.
Shortly after dinner on the first night we will have an opening circle. I will likely offer a Yin class afterwards for those wanting to shed any build up from the long journey.

The deposit to reserve your spot is $500, and it is non-refundable and non-transferable. Remaining balance for the retreat is due 2/1/26.

You’ll fly into Managua airport, Nicaragua. It is a tiny little airport rarely busy or hectic.
You will need to pay for a Visa($10 USD) at the airport when you arrive. The $10 must be made in cash. The officials can make change if you have a larger bill. Make sure whatever bill you give them is new. Not ripped, wrinkled or worn.

They will give you a customs form on the plane which you will need to fill out before you land. In the address box please enter, Still Salty Escape, Junto a la casa verde de Manzano 2, El Viejo 26200. It is important that you enter this exactly.
On the back of the form it will ask for a contact number where you're staying. The number is +505 8995 5080 (The name is Gustavo, a shuttle driver and retreat liaison). He may be the one picking you up from the airport.
After you deplane there will be an initial checkpoint where you will submit your customs form.
From there you will move on to immigration where you will once again show your customs form and also your passport. They will ask you three questions verbally.
Single or Married? Respond “casada” for married woman or “casado” for married man. “soltera”, single woman or “soltero” single man.
What is your profession? You can look this up ahead of time to respond in Spanish accordingly.
Are you coming as a tourist? Respond “si turista”

As of now, whether or not you are vaccinated, you can enter Nicaragua without testing. Keep in mind this can change at any time so please double check with the airline, embassy or google.

Which airline should I book with?
Standard search platforms offer numerous flights from many airlines to Nicaragua. Some recommended airlines include Avianca, Copa, Aero Mexico and American Airlines.

This depends on the flight you choose, some flights have multiple or extended layovers and take longer and others take less time and have shorter or fewer layovers.
Shuttle transport is available to and from the airport, it will take 3 - 4 hours depending on traffic both ways. The cost of the shuttle is included in your retreat cost.

Ideally on or before 1pm on the first day of the retreat. That way you’ll have time to settle and explore before dinner. Some people choose to stay over in Houston or Miami the night before and break up the travel time.
Departure is up to you. If you stay for closing circle and or breakfast you’ll likely be at the airport between 12 and 1pm

You will likely only need USD at the venue, if you plan on shopping or venturing out into the towns it may be helpful to have some Cordoba.
